To meet the current bracing standard requirements, we added a new internal wall. This reduced the ceiling diaphram length:width ratios and total length to within limits and allowed for 3 North-South bracing lines. Breaking into the existing ceiling to create the framing top plate at the same height as the others and to tie it to the roof trusses   Lined with plywood on the garage side of the wall. Extra nogging still to be added below top plate for gib lining to fix to.    All new insulation was using Terra Lana wool batts  Next Step - Doors and Cladding Finish |
